Invitation rounds for the 2024-25 program year are anticipated to be held the first week of each month, commencing in August 2024.
Western Australia has been allocated 5,000 state-nominated migration places and an additional 5,000 employer-sponsored visas under DAMA agreements for the 2024-25 program year. This is the largest allocation for any state in the country.
If you would like to be considered for an invitation for State nomination, your occupation will need to be eligible under the following streams:
- General stream — A skilled migration pathway for a range of occupations and industry categories. Eligible occupations are listed on the WA Skilled migration occupation list (WASMOL)
- Graduate stream — A skilled migration pathway for eligible international students who are completing vocational education and training (VET) or higher education qualifications in WA. Eligible occupations are listed on the Graduate occupation list (GOL).
Migrating to Western Australia (WA) through the State Nominated Migration Program offers several advantages:
- High Demand for Skilled Workers: WA prioritizes occupations in critical demand sectors, ensuring better job opportunities.
- No Application Fee: There is no cost to apply for state nomination.
- Extra Points: State nomination grants additional points on the Department of Home Affairs points test, improving visa eligibility.
- Employment Flexibility: Reduced employment requirements for candidates in building and construction sectors.
- Equal Ranking: Interstate and overseas candidates are equally ranked for invitations
These occupation lists identify occupations considered a priority for WA. They are therefore eligible for skilled migrants through State nomination and include many occupations in the sectors of Finance, Hospitality, Education, Healthcare, IT, Manufacturing, Mining, Transport, Arts and Building and Construction.
We are here to assist skilled migrants who want to take up employment and career opportunities through the program, in key occupations across Perth and regional areas of WA. Contact us for a free preliminary consultation to know your eligibility for this program.
